Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas, holds a commencement ceremony at the end of theSummer Semester. Graduates who will graduate in August of this year are eligible to participate in the ceremony.There is no fee to participate, however, each graduate must purchase a cap and gown. Please contact the Graduation Department directly if you have any questions in reference to participation.

Commencement Day Information
Arrival
Graduates should arrive at the Anderson CampusCenter no later than 4:30p.m. All participants need to report tothe Cafeteria on the 1st floorto check-in.Signs will be posted directing you to the Graduate Area, where you will pick up you name card. Additional instructions will then be given to you by the Advisor assigned to your area.
Bring your cap, gown, and tassel. The Bookstore will be open for purchase that day.
Plan to leave handbags and other valuables with family or friends.

Caps and gowns are available for purchase online at www.ctcbookstore.com or at the bookstore located in the Anderson Campus Center Bldg224; the cost is $31.66tax included. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the bookstore at 254-526-1219 orctc.bookstore@ctcd.edu. Operating hours are Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. & Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m and 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Regalia
Students will be wearing the blue cap and gown. Accessories are limited to Central Texas College issued cords and/or pins; stoles, tassels, and medallions representing membership in CTC sponsored honor societies. If you are presented with something from family and friends such as additional stoles, even though you can’t wear it during the ceremony, let them hold it for you and take pictures after the ceremony. Decoration of mortarboards must be academic in nature and affiliated with your program of study or celebration as a CTC graduate. Honor Society items are the responsibility of your Honor Society and are not provided by CTC. Please see your Honor Society Mentor for information in reference to those items.
Photography
A professional photographer from Flash Photography will be at the ceremony to take a photograph as you receive your diploma. Flash Photography will send you a proof and an order form in the mail. However, if you requested your name and address not to be released by the college, you will not receive a proof and order form in the mail. Further information will be provided at the orientation. Please do not invite other professional photographers to the ceremony. Any professional photographers other than Flash Photography will not be allowed.
Family and guests are allowed to take photographs from their seats. However, no one is allowed to block the aisles to take photographs during the ceremony. (After the ceremony, graduates will be dismissedand family and friends may join them.)
Television Coverage
We anticipate that the graduation ceremony will be streamed live and will be available approximately one week after graduation. Information will be posted on our Graduation webpage at https://ctc4.me/AUGGRAD2024. Check back frequently for updated information.
Diplomas
You will not receive your diploma at the ceremony but will be handed a CTC Graduation folder for you to keep. You may have already received your diploma or are still pending grades or paperwork. Once all requirements are complete then the diploma will be mailed to you through Parchment, our diploma provider. Please notify the Graduation office at 254-526-1592 if you have had an address and/or telephone number change since you applied for graduation or if you have questions in reference to your degree requirements.
Special Assistance
Graduates needing special accommodations for orientation and commencement must identify themselves prior to orientation by calling the Graduation Office at (254) 526-1592.
Commencement Flowers
Flowers will be sold at the graduation ceremony. If you would like to order an arrangement in advance, you may do so at https://www.thecommencementgroup.com/centraltexas/.
Graduation Etiquette
- Please follow allinstructions provided by CTC staff at all times.
- If you are receiving multiple degrees and/or certificates, you will march in the group with the highest award.
- Balloons, backpacks, bags, horns, and beach balls are not allowed in the graduation seating area.
- If you arrive after the processional, you will be seated provided you are in your cap and gown.
- Graduates are asked to stay for the entire ceremony.
- Be respectful of other graduates. Graduates and guests should minimize talking and movement during the ceremony so that each graduate’s name can be heard when called to receive their diploma.
- At the end of the ceremony graduates will remain in their designated seating area until the stage party and faculty recessional is completed.
- All attendees at the commencement must adhere to theKilleen Civicand ConferenceCenterpolicies.
