Dynamint Equine Leg & Muscle RubWhen I first came across this product, it seemed almost too good to be true. This leg and muscle rub’s primary use is as a brace and tightener, but it can also be used safely under bandages (yay, no more diluting potions) and near open wounds without irritation. Being no stranger to swapping products with my horses, I decided to try it out on myself first, after a long day on my feet at the Spruce Meadows trade fair.
Dynamint was wonderful. I got a neat tingly sensation, then the stiffness and tension in my muscles just melted away. I'm telling you right now, if you buy one of these for the barn, buy one for the house too, because otherwise it will be up at the house when you want to use it on the horses.
The best part is, it smells great. The strong pepperminty smell reminded us of After Eights, those chocolate-mint wafers that you get at Christmas.
While I can't personally testify as to whether or not it has any more healing powers than any other leg brace (see the company’s website for testimonials), it is definitely the most pleasant liniment that I've ever come across. It's a lotion, rather than a liquid, which means it stays where it's put and won’t run down your sleeves. The formula is "All Natural", with soothing peppermint, calendula, eucalyptus, mineral and tea tree oils.
